The Manila city government has started the vaccination of workers at the Divisoria Night Market on Sunday (July 4) from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Monday (July 5) in Recto, Manila.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the vaccination was held in Recto as some of the workers couldn’t go to the vaccination sites during the day.
“Itong special vaccination na ito, ginawa po namin ito sa Recto para sa mga trabahador na hindi makapunta sa vaccination site tuwing araw dahil kailangan maghanap buhay (We did this special vaccination for workers that can’t go to vaccinations site during the day because they need to work), ” Domagoso said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring two low pressure areas (LPAs), one of which may become a tropical depression within 24 hours.
The first LPA was located 780 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, while the second LPA was in the vicinity of Southern Luzon or over the coastal waters of Torrijos, Marinduque around 4 a.m., Sunday, July 4.
While not directly affecting the country at this time, the weather disturbance east of Eastern Samar may develop into a tropical depression with the local name “Emong” within 24 hours.
It is projected to move generally northwest towards the extreme northern Luzon-Taiwan area.

Tropical cyclone wind signal number 1 has been raised over parts of extreme northern Luzon on Sunday, July 4, due to the approaching tropical depression “Emong.”
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Signal No. 1 was hoisted over Batanes and the northeastern portion of Cagayan (Santa Ana and Gonzaga) including Babuyan Islands.
Emong was estimated at 700 kilometers east-northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar or 790 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar at around 10 a.m.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness up to 55 kph. It is projected to move northwestward at 25 kph.

The provincial disaster risk reduction and management office (PDRRMO) of Batangas called on the national government on Sunday, July 4, to provide additional supply of masks, medicines, family tents for isolation, and other medical equipment as some evacuees particularly children in packed evacuation centers started catching cold, cough, and other diseases due to Taal Volcano’s continuous emission of toxic gases.
