The Electoral Committee for the South-West Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congress holding in Osogbo has affirmed the disqualification of Femi Adetola, a contestant as the South West zonal youth leader, for being 49 years of age.
Chairman of the committee, Benson Abounu who gave a report of its appeal panel, maintained that Adetola was disqualified possessing an age above the PDP constitutional provision to be a youth leader.
Abounu quoted Page 107, article 26-27, sub-article 2H of the PDP constitution as prescribing that the youth leader must be between 18 and 40 years.

The Peoples Democratic Party in the South-West has debunked a media report that Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has called a reconciliation meeting to resolve the political feud between Governor Seyi Makinde and former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose.
The South-West Zonal Director of Media and Publicity of PDP, Lere Olayinka, who said this in a statement on Friday stressed that Oyinlola lacked the moral preserve to reconcile the two PDP leaders.
