The incident was reported around 7.20am on Tuesday, April 13 at junction 24 of the motorway heading north. There was slow traffic in the area, near East Midlands Airport with pictures showing long queues. Traffic monitoring site Inrix, reported: M1 Northbound entry slip road from A50 closed two lanes closed, slow traffic due to accident at Junction 24A, A50 Derby Southern Bypass (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed on the main carriageway, along with the entry slip road at the same point.
