That’s where Texas A&M University-San Antonio is stepping in with help from a $750,000 grant from USAA.
A&M-San Antonio is expanding its help desk to double as a service for families in southern Bexar County and as a training initiative for middle and high school students who want to explore a career in basic technology support.
It’s called the Digital Inclusion Project.
“What we realized pretty quickly is that students and families in the school districts need additional help,” said Carl Sheperis, dean of the College of Education and Human Development.
