A South Peoria woman and a teen have been arrested in connection with an incident earlier this week that left a juvenile male dead.
Peoria police announced Friday that Karon M. Schuch, 34, was arrested on four counts of endangering the life of a child, as well as obstructing justice. A 15-year-old male was arrested on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, reckless conduct and unlawful possession of a handgun under the age of 21.
The arrests are connected to a death investigation police announced Wednesday. At about 5:10 a.m. that day, police were called to the 3000 block of West Seibold Street on a report that someone had been shot, and found a juvenile male with injuries consistent with gunfire, police previously said. That juvenile died later that day.
