District 117 is looking at the options for both Washington and Murrayville/Woodson Elementary Schools as both buildings are in need of continued repair, or event replacement.
Superintendent Steve Ptacek says a combination of federal stimulus monies and an unexpectedly higher tax revenue means discussion of the potential for future projects will happen sooner than anyone expected coming into this year.
During the April school board meeting, Ptacek reviewed Phase 3 of the Vision 117 plan for updating educational buildings in the district. Phase 1 lead to the renovation of what is now the Jacksonville Middle School, and Phase two lead to the renovations at both Lincoln and South Elementary schools.

As the school year comes to a close, WyandotCARES is inviting the community to come together and pray for our students, parents, teachers, and administrators. On Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm, we will meet at the flagpole of Wyandot County schools circling the building and covering the school in prayer.
We will meet at the Carey Schools, Mohawk Schools, East Elementary, South Elementary, Union Elementary and Middle School, and Upper Sandusky High School. If there is another school you would like to pray for, please visit that school and participate in our School Prayer Walk starting at 6:00 p.m.
While we hope to have as many in attendance as possible, if you are unable to attend, please pray from wherever you are during this time. MIDLAND, Texas Midland ISD Superintendent Angelica Ramsey held a stakeholder s meeting at South Elementary where she was treated with her largest crowd yet.
The parents discussed with her the inequities of South Elementary compared to other schools in the district and that the school doesn t have similar access. Ramsey said she wants to bridge this gap. We need to have 40 great campuses, Superintendent Ramsey said. We need to have coherence across the district and we need to change any inequities that exist.

JACKSON, Tenn. The Jackson-Madison County School System has announced locations for this summer’s Rising Stars Summer Learning Camp, according to a news release.
The district says more than 3,000 students have signed up for the program, which focuses on math and reading.
Camps for first through fifth graders will be at the following locations:
Alexander
South Elementary
These locations will be for elementary grades. The release says these programs will be in operation Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from May 24 through June 18.
Current middle school students at Community Montessori School will attend camp at their school. Fifth graders at Denmark and South Elementary will attend camp at their schools.
