The Delaware Police Department said personal checks were stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Braddington Court and forged for a total of $13,000.
The loss was reported at 3 p.m. Feb. 9.
Police said fraudulent unemployment claims were filed using the identity of residents living on the:
• 300 block of North Franklin Street, reported at 10:56 a.m. Feb. 9
• First block of Brookwood Place, reported at 12:42 p.m. Feb. 9
• First block of Mara Avenue, reported at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 9
• 500 block of Thistle Drive, reported at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 9
• 300 block of Sylvan Drive, reported at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 9
• 200 block of West Lincoln Avenue, reported at 12:55 p.m. Feb. 8

Mary and Alice Graham were special friends of mine. They lived on North Pierce street, and during my house calls to these ladies, there evolved an exchange of historical information. Their contribution one year, at my urging, was to list all the saloons in town. I don’t have a record of the year, or years, this compilation was made, my here is the list as they gave it to me:
As the red light for jury trials in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County drags on, Chris Hottingerâs frustration grows.
Sheâs been waiting since the Aug. 5, 2019, crash that killed her daughter, Raven Morgan, 30, of Broadway, for the man accused of causing the wreck to face trial.
The trial has been postponed because of a statewide judicial emergency issued by the Supreme Court of Virginia due to COVID-19 precautions.
âItâs gut-wrenching. I want closure,â said Hottinger, 52, of Bergton. âWhen you know the date of the trial is approaching and then they reschedule it, you get that feeling of âHere we go again.â Every time we go back to court, it brings that night of horror up.â

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting Friday night in Central City that left a man injured.
NOPD reported the shooting around 9:45 p.m.
Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1500 block of South Liberty Street where they found a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He has been transported to a local hospital by EMS. His condition is currently unknown.
