Reports legal action initiated in relation to South Kerry CAMHS

Chief Superintendent of the Kerry Garda Division, Eileen Foster, said the county will get very few additional resources for the summer, but there will be policing plans in place. Last week, it emerged that the HSE is reviewing the files of over 1,500 children and young people who attended the South Kerry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. This was amid concerns some were prescribed dangerously excessive amounts of medication. Advertisement Cork Kerry Community Healthcare says a helpline, which was created last week to assist those affected, will be open 9-5 daily until Friday, when a review will take place. The helpline’s number is 1800-742-800.
