PDP drags Judge to court, accuses him of working for Gov Umahi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Justice Vincent Nwancho of Ebony State High Court, of acting under the influence of the Governor of the State, Engr. Dave Umahi in a matter before his court, against the state’s helmsman.
in a Suit N0. HA/161/2020 filed between Onyekachi Nwebonyi & 2ors V. Peoples Democratic Party & Ors, filed at the High Court of the state, “the party is worried that Justice Vincent Nwancho is said to be under pressure to assume jurisdiction over the suit despite the transmission of the Record of Appeal and entering of the appeal in Appeal NO. CA./E/03/2021, challenging the jurisdiction of the trial court to hear the matter”.

A FORMER member of the House of Representatives for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Hon Ifeanyi Ibezi has called on supporters and stakeholders of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Idemili area to close ranks and prepare for the important task of electing the next governor of Anambra State in November this year.
Addressing the stakeholders from the twelve wards in Idemili North at the party’s secretariat at Nkpor, Ibezi stressed the need for members, stakeholders and leaders of the party at the wards and local government levels to unite and strengthen the party structures at their various council areas and wards ahead of the governorship election.

In the wake of the rumoured death of Hon. Ossy Prestige, the member representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency of Abia State in the House of Representatives, his family and the office have explained that the lawmaker is currently attending to his health in Europe.
It will be recalled that the social media was awash with the news of his demise on Sunday.
But reacting in a statement on Monday, his family and the office debunked the report of the lawmaker’s death.

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has promised to mobilize a contractor for the immediate reconstruction of the Nmuri bridge, Abam in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.
Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance, Saturday, while speaking at the funeral ceremony of late Chief Emmanuel Ndukwe Uko Nkole, father of the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole.
He directed the federal legislator to immediately take engineers to the bridge to determine the cost and forward the same to him for kick-off work on Monday.
This directive from the Governor was in response to the passionate appeal made to him by the Prelate and Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Most Rev Dr Nzie Nsi Eke, to help fix the bridge.
