AN MP in Northumberland has assured rail users in the county that an upcoming project has not had its plans altered ahead of work getting underway. Ian Levy, who represents Blyth Valley, has dismissed reports that Bebside station would not be a part of the Northumberland Line project. “Reports suggesting Bebside station has been axed from the Northumberland Line project are simply not accurate,” he said. “The facts are clear, and the Conservative Government and County Council are delivering for south east Northumberland residents following decades of empty talk from Labour. “The Government has committed £34m to the project to rapidly progress the development of six stations with five of those in Northumberland.”
Proposals are submitted for new station
