From Kingstree, Matt is a member of Kingstree Presbyterian Church and coaches softball and baseball at Kingstree Recreation Center.

Nevin Zink had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Spartans (5-18). Everette Hammond added 17 points and Bryson Mozone had 11. The Panthers improve to 2-1 against the Spartans on the season. Prior to becoming a professor at USC Upstate, Egbue was an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
