STAMFORD, CT Stamford Public Schools announced Tuesday that Lisa Saba-Price has been named the new principal of Westover Magnet Elementary School.
Saba-Price, who currently serves as principal of Newfield Elementary School, will take over the position from Kathleen Wunder, Westover s current principal who is set to retire on June 30, according to a news release.
Saba-Price is scheduled to begin her new position on July 1.

A 33-year veteran of the Stamford Public Schools with 18 years of administrative experience, Saba-Price has served as principal at Newfield for the past nine years.

Central Connecticut State University in New Britain will resume in-person classes in the fall along with the other state colleges.
In-person classes will resume at state colleges this fall, with mask-wearing and social-distancing requirements still in effect, officials said Monday.
The announcement came at Gateway Community College on Monday, where leaders from colleges and universities in Connecticut joined Gov. Ned Lamont to discuss what campus life will look like this upcoming academic year.
“I think the message here today is we’re open for business, come back,” Lamont said. “It’s going to be an amazing summer and a great fall.”

State colleges and universities are planning on being fully in-person with some hybrid options available for upcoming the summer and fall semesters.

Coley said he has heard from many students since the beginning of the pandemic and despite incredible efforts, online learning is not always a viable option.
He also said this past year taught them many valuable lessons including how to be flexible in the delivery of coursework, increasing online and high flex offerings to students who will continue to want those.
