Cuomo today announced that South Beach Psychiatric Center, a new but unopened Office of Mental Health facility on Staten Island, discharged their final COVID-19 patient. The facility has served as an emergency hospital since last April, providing care for over 1,000 patients over two waves - second only to the Javits Center. The Center will be closing their overflow center today following the decline in COVID hospitalizations
