Allen, of 15202 Ferndale Road, was arrested Friday and held on a $10,000 bond. He has since been released.
Allen told the child’s mother he thought he had hurt the baby. They took the child to South Lake Hospital, which confirmed the injury, noting it was “highly suspicious for non-accidental trauma.”
The next day, Arnold Palmer Hospital listed the right leg injury as “non-accidental traumatic injury of a right distal tibia fracture,” according to the arrest affidavit.

As of Feb. 1, some Orlando Health patients will be allowed multiple visitors again.
Orlando Health announced Friday, Jan. 29, that it will be adjusting its visitation policy for non-coronavirus patients.
Starting Feb. 1, patients hospitalized at most Orlando Health hospitals will be permitted two adult visitors during daily visiting hours. Visitors are no longer required to be the same two people for the duration of the patient’s stay, except at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies and South Lake Hospital’s OB/GYN unit.
Orlando Health emergency departments and surgery/procedural areas will continue to only allow one visitor.
