Applications are open for First Nations documentary makers in South Australia and the Northern Territory for the second Centralised Indigenous Fellowship, open for applications from today.
Inaugural Fellow, Northern Territory filmmaker Tamara Whyte, is currently undertaking professional development to further her documentary project Base 8, which explores the use of mathematics in Indigenous Culture.
“The DAF Centralised Indigenous Fellowship has been a total game changer for my career. As a carer, parent and Aboriginal woman working in film and media, having the opportunity and the support to craft my own unique pathway for professional development and mentoring has been absolutely invaluable, and has allowed me to take my documentary project to the next level,” she said.

Danielle Macdonald, Shalome Brune-Franklin and Hugo Weaving have also joined the six-part series, due to shoot in Australia later this year.

Fifty Shades of Grey star is to lead The Tourist, the Australia-set mystery thriller from Two Brothers Pictures, the Emmy-winning production company behind
Fleabag and The Missing.
Danielle Macdonald, Shalome Brune-Franklin and Hugo Weaving have also joined the cast for the six-part series, which HBO Max has now boarded for U.S. rights alongside German public broadcaster ZDF and is due to start production later this year. As first revealed by

Jamie Dornan has been cast as the lead of “The Tourist,” a limited series from BBC One and HBO Max.
Harry and Jack Williams are writing the series, which follows one man’s search for his identity. Along with Dornan, the six-episode show will star Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Hugo Weaving.
“The Tourist,” which will be filmed in Australia, centers on a British man (Dornan) who finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road. Jamie Dornan has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming limited series “The Tourist.” In addition, HBO Max has boarded the project and will co-produce along with Two Brothers Pictures as well as serve as the show’s streaming home in the U.S.
Alongside Dornan, the six-episode series will star Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Hugo Weaving. Filming is set to begin soon in Australia. The show was commissioned last year by BBC One, Stan, and ZDF. It hails from writers Harry and Jack Williams.
