North Somerset eateries opening outside on or after April 12

Published: 11:45 AM April 9, 2021    A number of restaurants across North Somerset will throw open their doors, Government guidance permitting, next week. - Credit: RitaE from Pixabay Restaurants will be able to serve customers outdoors from Monday, after the Government confirmed its plans to ease restrictions. From May 17, diners can be served indoors, and the Government hopes to lift almost all lockdown restrictions from June 21.  People will only be able to meet up in groups of six or as two households when visiting a restaurant from Monday, and the opening only extends to outdoor areas. Current rules to order a substantial meal alongside an alcoholic drink will be scrapped and there will be no Government requirement for a curfew. Customers will have to order, eat and drink while seated outside and if people are being shown to a table or using the toilet, they will need to wear a mask.

Cotswold pubs, cafes and restaurants prepare for reopening | Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard

Pubs, cafes and restaurants across the Cotswolds are preparing to reopen on Monday following a four month closure. Hospitality venues have been closed in England since December, with the hospitality industry adapting by offering customers a takeaway service throughout the Winter months. The industry has been hit particularly hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. 6,000 licensed premises closed their doors for the last time in 2020, triple the number from 2019. However from Monday, pubs, cafes and restaurants who can provide an outdoor service can welcome back droves of customers. Indoor venues and hotels cannot open fully until May 17. The Rule of Six will be in place, meaning you can visit with up to five other people. It will be table service only, and everyone must sit outside, only going indoors to use the toilet.
