Singer and actress Cher apologized this weekend for a controversial statement she made about the late George Floyd. On Saturday, the “Believe” hit-maker walked back a tweet suggesting that she could have prevented the killing of Floyd, who died in police custody after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinned his knee on Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes.
