SWEPCO seeking RFPs for solar, wind energy projects - Daily Energy Insider

(SWEPCO) submitted filings this week to the Louisiana Public Service Commission for initiatives related to renewable energy sources. Specifically, the company filed three draft Requests for Proposals (RFP) for renewable and economic generating capacity to supply the needs of its customers. One of the RFPs is seeking bids to purchase wind resources of up to 3,000 megawatts (MW). The wind resources must be a minimum of 100 MW and interconnect to the Southwest Power Pool (SPP). Also, they must be located in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, or Missouri.
