With people travelling again, the West Michigan Tourist Association is hoping more visitors will come to the region, and it’s touting southwest Michigan trails as one attraction. Spokesperson Erin Murphy tells WSJM News South Haven is an official Pure Michigan’s Trail Town with the Kal Haven Trail that runs all the way to Kalamazoo. And it doesn’t have to end there.
“That Kal Haven Trail serves as the beginning of a route that goes all the way from South Haven to Port Huron through the whole state, which is about 275 miles long,” Murphy said. “So for really adventurous hikers and bikers that want to make that huge trip, that’s a really great option as well.”

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. – Southwest Michigan residents and visitors now have a new way to explore the local arts and culture scene: through Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council’s new interactive game, Creative Connections!
Now through April 30, 2022, you can pick up a Creative Connections brochure online or at any of the Creative Connections locations and play along by collecting stamps at each of the destinations included in the brochure.
Each participating business will have a door decal or flag signifying their role in the game.
Players can start earning prizes after three Creative Connections stops. After you collect the stamps, return your brochure to the Tourist Council and they’ll mail you back your prizes and brochure so you can keep playing

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Visitors in downtown St. Joseph can watch storefronts come to life during March Mannequins next week.
Downtown St. Joseph will host March Mannequins on March 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
During this event, community volunteers will be positioned in windows to look like mannequins.
This year’s theme, Night at the Museum, lets volunteers depict scenes from the three Night at the Museum films.
Visitors in downtown that evening can vote for their favorite windows here. Voting opens at 7 p.m. March 12 and stays open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 14.
