Produce research study to be unveiled at Southern Exposure next month The Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) is again joining forces with FMI The Food Industry Association to unveil the 2021 edition of produce industry’s research, the Power of Produce, at Southern Exposure on April 7. “We are excited to once again debut the Power of Produce to the industry during Southern Exposure,” says David Sherrod, president and CEO of SEPC. “This year’s study will provide insights into produce purchases throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, how the people of the produce industry shone and how we can improve as an industry moving forward.”

SEPC bolsters safety precautions for Southern Exposure 2021

February 1, 2021 As the Southeast Produce Council continues with preparations for Southern Exposure to be held April 6–8 in Orlando, FL, the SEPC team is working diligently to ensure the health and safety of attendees, exhibitors, and staff; and they have partnered with some outstanding organizations who are experts in facilitating recommended safety protocol. SEPC is actively working with the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort to implement their enhanced health and safety guidelines, which are already in place at the hotel and will be utilized during the conference. The SEPC team is also proud of its continued partnership with AGS Expo Services, which has established a detailed plan focused on clean and safe event spaces.

He replaces Bill Savilonis, who has moved on after 28 years with IPC. Daniels, who grew up as an army brat, joined the industry as a 16-year-old in Knoxville, Tennessee, when he landed his first job working part-time at a local grocery store. His produce tour of duty has taken him from major grocery retailers like BI-LO to military commissary stores to CEA Fresh Farms, where he most recently was director of business development.
