RIGA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Timur Primbetov presented the Director of the Academic Library of the University of Latvia Venta Kocere with a letter of gratitude from the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for her contribution to the development of bilateral cultural and educational ties, as well as popularization in her country Latvia of the works of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh MFA. The Embassy of Kazakhstan closely cooperates with the Academic Library of the University of Latvia. With the direct support of Kocere, the Kazakhstan Information Center Abai was opened in the library in 2019.

SEOUL. KAZINFORM - As part of the celebration of. Thanks to the collaboration between the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea and the host countryâs largest postal operator Korea Post issued commemorative stamps dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstanâs independence, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh MFA.
Some of the stamps were donated to the collection of the Korea Postage Stamp Museum. As the director of the museum Na Sang-kuk noted, through the new exhibit numerous visitors of the site might become interested to learn more about the culture of Kazakhstan.

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - The inaugural meeting of the Association of Kazakhs in Japan took place at the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh MFA. Related news
This is the first public organisation of its kind to be established in Japan to bring together the Kazakh nationals and ethnic Kazakhs living in the country to maintain mutual contact and support.
According to the Kazakhstan Embassy’s information, there are 191 Kazakh nationals and about 70 ethnic Kazakhs from China, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan living permanently in Japan for work or study.
