May 9, 2021 DULUTH, Minn.- The Northland was busy this Mother’s Day, coming out the tail-end of the pandemic. After more traditional brunches, some families who reunited for the day decided this year was more special and spent time doing other activities. “We went out to lunch, and then we’re coming here to play with their friends,” said Stacy Cozzi at the Duluth Children’s Museum’s Pop-Up Play Place. The sounds of little kids playing and laughing flowed through the temporary space on Superior Street in Downtown Duluth.

The Duluth Children s Museum has opened a pop-up play space in downtown Duluth. April 1, 2021 DULUTH, Minn. – The Duluth Children’s Museum has opened a pop-up play space in downtown Duluth. Right now, they are using an empty storefront on the 300 block of East Superior Street, which serves as a mini-museum, including an indoor playground and fossil exploration. This all coming as the new children’s museum in Lincoln Park is expected to open in June. “We all miss playing with kids right now,” said Cameron Kruger, the president and CEO of the Duluth Children’s Museum. “Our staff has been really waiting for this opportunity and construction takes a long time and we’re really happy with the progress that we’re making in the new location.”

WDIO The Duluth Children s Museum opened up a downtown Pop-up Playspace on Thursday. The museum s new Lincoln Park location is set to open in June. And in the meantime, this space offers many of the same activities to cater to kids imaginations.  It s located on Superior Street across from the Sheraton. The museum’s president says they ve packed the mini-museum full of engaging activities. The Duluth Children s Museum opened up a downtown Pop-up Playspace on Thursday on Superior Street while their new location sets to open in June. We ve really taken the museum experience and made a mini-museum experience, said Cameron Kruger, CEO/President of the Duluth Children s Museum. “We have a climber, imagination playground blocks to engineer and build with, a toddler area. And we re trying out some of our programming like making paper airplanes and playing with kinetic sand. Just using this space to engage with kids and families.
