DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth labor unions and organizations came together to distribute thousands of boxes of food at the DECC to Northland residents hit hard by the pandemic.
The DECC parking lot was busy with cars as boxes of food were distributed for free to people in the area. There were two semi-trucks full of 2,400 boxes and 2,400 gallons of milk, giving food and beverage to any family who needed them.
DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Two large truckloads of 30 pound boxes of fresh food will be given away on a first come first served basis Thursday at the DECC pa.

Unions have united in their effort to feed hungry families during the pandemic.
Craig Olson, president of the Duluth Building Trades, said, Labor is stepping up during these tough economic times. Many families are struggling.
They are giving away 2500 boxes of food on Thursday.
There s a free food giveaway on Thursday at the DECC, organized by several unions.

It s a first-come, first-served situation. There are no income guidelines or requirements.
Beth McCuskey, president of the Duluth Central Labor Body, added, There s too many families with food insecurities. We ll be handing out to those in need.

DULUTH, Minn.- Duluth Labor unions and organizations teamed up Wednesday, preparing to distribute thousands of boxes of food to anyone in need, secured from the US Department Of Agriculture’s Farmers to Families Program.
On Thursday at the DECC, The Duluth Building and Construction Trades, Central Labor Body, and United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 11-89 will distribute those boxes to families in the area having trouble putting food on the table.
“The food shelves at this time are stressed, as we all know, people are struggling,” said Craig Olson, President of the Duluth Building and Construction Trades Council.
