DULUTH, Minn.– The sun was out today, shining on a new solar array that is debuting just outside of Duluth.
Wescom held a ribbon cutting with the Duluth Chamber of Commerce to welcome in their new solar division and array just off of Jean Duluth Road. The panels took a week to install and have been powered up over the last month energizing their main building along with two other shops. Executives with the company are excited to show off their source of renewable energy to the Northland.
“On really bright days like today, we can actually generate additional power to help out the local utility,” said Wescom CEO Shane Stolp. “Really what we’re trying to do is not just prove our commitment to ourselves about solar but also have a way for our clients to come out and connect with us and see what their options are when it comes to solar.”
