Western Michigan Universityâs Theatre Department will present several works this spring after a long school year adhering to COVID-19 restrictions and safety precautions. The department has prepared plays to be performed both virtually and in-person.Â
âWe have coming up in April a three part series where we are doing the beginnings of nine different plays,â said Joan Herrington, the Chair of the Department of Theatre. âWe made a choice to do pieces of plays so that we could have a maximum number of students working in production in small, safe groups as opposed to one huge show.â
The first two parts of this series will take place in-person in the Williams Theatre and Shaw Theatre, these shows will be held at limited capacity and reserved for family and friends of the performers. The third part will be shared virtually.
