Between 2017 and 2019, the rate of uninsured Hispanic and Latino children in Colorado tripled, according to a research from the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) released in April 2020. In 2019, that number went up to 27,000 making the rate nearly three times that of their non-Hispanic White counterparts. In fact the rate for white children dropped a little bit, said Hanel.
