AKWESASNE The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today (Tuesday, April 6), making eight total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction.
No community members were released from isolation and 18 family members and friends remain in quarantine.
The Tribe’s Health Services is conducting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic this week for individuals with social or economic connections to the Akwesasne community.
The walk-in vaccination clinic will be held at the former-IGA Building on Thursday, April 8 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., or until supplies last.
The vaccine clinic is for individuals 18 years or older who are interested in receiving the Moderna vaccine. Non-native spouses of Tribal Members and Akwesasne employees who reside in Canada are also eligible to receive the vaccine.
