Five Single Player Games to Watch Out for in February 2021
2021 has properly landed, and although the world will forever be different, video games are a constant. In the news, games are being delayed left and right, but for the players, regardless of where you play games, there are still plenty of releases scheduled for the upcoming month. Of these February 2021 single player game releases, we are taking a look at

Keeping track of all the latest video games coming out is an increasingly complex task, what with multiple PC storefronts, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, mobile, and more to keep track of, but don’t worry, I’m here to help. Every month I ll be running down the games you need to be keeping an eye on, from the big triple-A headliners, to the intriguing indies you might otherwise overlook.
As is often the case, February is rather low on big AAA experiences, but there’s still plenty to look forward to this month, particularly if you’re searching for something to play on your Switch. Highlights include Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Bravely Default II, Little Nightmares 2, and the PS5-exclusive Destruction AllStars. On the indie front, you can look forward to the cute, yet challenging action-platformer Blue Fire, crazy retro mashup Speed Limit, and more.
The
Gal Gun Returns Xbox release for the upcoming ecchi rail shooter has been canceled. Developer Inti Creates says this
Gal Gun Returns cancellation won t affect the game s launch on PC or on Nintendo Switch.
Why Was
This news comes courtesy of the official
Gal Gun franchise Twitter account. In a tweet, Inti Creates says it wanted to stay true to the spirit of the original
Gal Gun, the game of which
Gal Gun Returns is a remaster. However, productive discussion with Microsoft resulted in Inti saying it would be unable to ensure consistency of experience across all platforms. It sounds like Microsoft wanted Inti to make changes to the game - which is rather heavy on fanservice - that they weren t willing to make. If that s the case, it seems Valve and Nintendo haven t asked for the same changes.

Inti Creates shared a new
Gal Gun Returns trailer, and this one focuses on some of the additional modes you’ll be able to go through in the on-rails shooter. While the story mode, where you attempt to help Tenzou end up with one of his love interests, is fairly well known, this newest video focuses on some elements you might not know about. For example, it offers a comprehensive look at the
Gal Gun Returns Doki Doki Carnival.
In this additional
Gal Gun Returns mode, people essentially go through an epilogue. The Doki Doki Carnival switches up the formula by making everyone except the girl he fell in love with in the main campaign hate him. (It’s all Ekoro’s fault.)
