The solar rooftop project will produce 10.6 GWh of clean energy annually

UAE-based distributed solar energy provider SirajPower has signed a solar partnership with Al Shirawi Group, an industrial conglomerate with operations across the GCC.
The partnership begins with a 7 MWp solar rooftop installation for Emirates Printing Press in three of their plants. Emirates Printing Press operates press facilities at Dubai Industrial City (DIC) and Al Quoz.
The solar rooftop project covers an area of 56,000 m2 and will produce 10.6 GWh of clean energy annually, which SirajPower says will offset more than 7,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

The solar rooftop project covers an area of 56,000 square metres, and will produce 10.6 GWh of clean energy annually, offsetting more than 7,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

Under the EDB Strategy launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday, the Bank allocated Dh30 billion for financing more than 13,500 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and create 25,000 jobs, mainly in industrial sectors. The EDB Strategy is part of “Operation 300bn” which was launched in March 2021.
Al Barakah Dates expands facility, plans 100,000 t production
Dubai, UAE, 20 days ago Al Barakah Dates has announced plans to expand its existing facility to become the world s biggest privately-owned date factory in Dubai Industrial City, the region s largest manufacturing and logistics hub. The food company will more than double the size of its existing facility to be able to process over 100,000 tonnes of date and date products annually–equivalent to almost half of the UAE’s entire domestic harvest – to become the world’s single largest processor of date ingredients. Its massive new state-of-the-art factory will cover a total area of 600,000 sq ft, including 420,000 sq ft of dedicated processing and cold storage space, and is due for completion in early 2022. To support global decarbonisation efforts, the sustainable facility will be equipped with more than 6,500 solar panels to offset 3,000 tonnes emissions per year.
