Emirates has set up a humanitarian airbridge between Dubai and India to transport urgent medical and relief items, to support India in its fight to control the serious COVID-19 situation in the country.
Emirates will offer cargo capacity free of charge on an as available basis on all of its flights to nine cities in India, to help international NGOs deliver relief supplies rapidly to where it is needed.
In the past weeks, Emirates SkyCargo has already been transporting medicines and medical equipment on scheduled and charter cargo flights to India. This latest airbridge initiative takes Emirates support for India and for the NGO community to the next level.

One out of every 20 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered around the world has transited through Dubai and has flown on an Emirates aircraft.
Emirates SkyCargo, the air freight division of Emirates has been leading the international air cargo industry in the transportation of COVID-19 vaccines and other essential pharmaceutical, PPE and food supplies during the pandemic. The air cargo carrier has moved around 59 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to more than 50 destinations around the world. Emirates SkyCargo has also transported six different types of COVID-19 vaccines on its flights.

5% of doses given around the world have flown on an Emirates aircraft
One out of every 20 Covid-19 vaccine doses administered around the world has transited through Dubai and has flown on an Emirates aircraft.
According to Emirates SkyCargo, it has moved around 59 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to more than 50 destinations around the world. It has also transported six types of Covid-19 vaccines on its flights.
Globally, it’s estimated that 1 billion doses of the vaccine have been administered.
The air cargo carrier has been able to safely and rapidly deliver around 5 per cent of the total vaccines administered around the world since October 2020.
