Article content Crime rates in Wetaskiwin are coming down. During the Oct. 26 Wetaskiwin Committee-of-the-Whole meeting, Wetaskiwin RCMP Insp. Keith Durance told Council that in comparing January to September 2019 to the same time period this year, the total Criminal Code offences had dropped by seven percent with persons crimes down three per cent, property crime down five per cent and other Criminal Code offences down 10 per cent. A well-known Mitchell area farmer has been chosen as the 2020 Stratford Perth Museum Agriculture Wall of Fame honoree. It’s the seventh year for the Agriculture Wall of Fame which is open to current or former residents of Perth County who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture in Perth County. Bert Vorstenbosch is this year’s honoree. A media release says Bert and his family have farmed in Perth County for 56 years but many of his greatest contributions are community-minded and have little to do with his farm or business.
