Due to Covid, many can now work from wherever they like and perhaps commute to the office one day a week or fortnight. The fact they can sell their home in Dublin or abroad and buy a much nicer home in Limerick has made moving here very attractive.  Deputy Richard O’Donoghue raised this in the Dail. He said house prices have risen by as much as €75,000 in parts of Limerick.

Plans to reduce number living in rural areas is unfair says Limerick TD

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team via Google Maps Plans to reduce the number of people living in rural areas are unfair on County Limerick people according to an Independent TD. Part of the government s plan for 2040 is to increase populations in the towns and villages and restrict one-off housing.  Deputy Richard O Donoghue says the plans are not realistic due to decades of poor investment. The Independent TD says there are multiple examples of Limerick villages waiting for sewerage schemes.
