Living just 850 metres away from the Pakistan Army positions on the hill slopes of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), villagers of Balkote and Silikote near the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla’s Uri are finally picking up the threads of life, which was badly frayed by frequent shelling and sniping in the last three years.
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Doctors Coordination at Committee(JKDCC) which is an amalgam of various doctors associations, today in a statement showed indignation against undue interference by revenue officials in day to day hospital affairs.
Dr M Y Tak Convenor JKDCC said, “administration has badly failed during this winter’s snowfall and got itself buried as the snow was not cleared from the roads, lanes and by-lanes for days together. This administrative apathy caused a lot of difficulty for doctors, paramedics and patients to reach hospitals and consequently, a disaster like the situation was palpable.”

It alleged the “adminstrative apathy caused a lot of difficulty for doctors, paramedics and patients to reach hospitals and consequently a disaster like situation was palpable.”
