Udhampur: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today visited Ramnagar Sub Division of district Udhampur to inspect the facilities at Sub District Hospital and Covid control measures being adopted by the local administration there.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Block Medical Officer and other concerned officers.
The BMO informed the Divisional Commissioner that the Block has achieved 52 percent of Covid vaccination coverage for the target group population of more than 45 years.
The Div Com directed the BMO to ensure that vaccination drive is accelerated through a camp mode and aware the public to take doses of vaccine so that 100 percent vaccination of targeted groups can be achieved.

UDHAMPUR, Dec 31: Taking suo moto cognizance of a video circulating on social media wherein a complainant is seen alleging that the revenue officials at Tehsil Ramnagar were demanding and accepting bribe for issuing RBA certificates, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla has placed the concerned Patwari under suspension and also ordered attachment of the Girdawar concerned to the DC Office Udhampur.
Further, Tehsildar Ramnagar has been issued show cause notice in the matter while Additional DC Udhampur, Mohd Syed Khan, has been appointed as the Enquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the matter and verify the authenticity and veracity of the allegations levelled on the revenue officials by the complainant.

JAMMU, Dec 15: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today visited Purmandal- Utterbehni area and Mansar-Surinsar twin lakes to review the progress on comprehensive plans being put in place for the development of these religious and tourist destinations and issued on spot instructions for speedy development of the area.
During his visit, Sinha took stock of the project for development of the Purmandal- Utterbehni religious tourism circuit under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD).
He took a detailed review of developmental projects at Purmandal which included construction of paved path/track to the temple complex, construction of view points, up-gradation of bathing ghats, installation of focus light and poles with high mast lights and solar lights.
