The old type-setting machine I wrote about a few weeks ago drew more comments than I ever would have imagined. After all, the Linotype machine, manufactured by the Mergenthaler Linotype Co. of New York, hadn t been used by the Dispatch for 47 years. Who would recognize or appreciate this wacky looking, mechanical marvel of a long-gone era in printing? Dozens of you.

Levine previously was CFO at C3.ai, Athenahealth, and Blue Yonder, previously known as JDA Software. He spent 25 years at Hewlett Packard, including stints as SVP of finance and corporate controller. Tanium relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to Kirkland, Wash. last year. In January, the company raised $150 million, bringing total funding to date past $1 billion.

This is a good month to try to fix the problem. Braver Angels, a nonprofit that works to depolarize the nation s politics, is hosting a free, virtual, two-part workshop called Red/Blue,  in which 10 conservative-leaning citizens and 10 liberal-leaning citizens will gather to converse and learn to understand each other. The group describes the May events as a forum to discuss your views, without judgment, to learn answers to sincere questions in order to understand the other side’s viewpoint.
