NEW APP WILL SHOW DEFIBRILLATOR LOCATIONS IN THE ENNISCORTHY AREA
A new app is available for the general public for when they need to access a defibrillator in the Enniscorthy area.
The Pulse Point app is now live in County Wexford and the initiative aims to put the power in your hands to save lives.
The idea came about through local activists Harry Nolan, Paddy Redmond and Michael Devereux in memory of Ger Devereux who passed away in 2015.
Harry explained to the Morning Mix that the app is helpful but it’s just another tool in your arsenal when you’re in a life saving situation:

February is Heart Month and Livingston County residents are being encouraged to download a potentially lifesaving online app.
Community members are encouraged to support Livingston County in becoming a Heart Safe community by learning CPR, downloading the Pulse Point App and following Livingston County EMS. The Pulse Point App will notify someone when a person nearby is having a cardiac arrest so that they can start CPR before professional responders arrive. The App also directs people to the nearest public Automated External Defibrillator or AED so they can shock the heart back into rhythm.

The Bellingham Herald 12/24/2020 Robert Mittendorf, The Bellingham Herald (Bellingham, Wash.)
Dec. 24 Smoldering oil from ruptured railroad tank cars caught fire Wednesday night, Dec. 23, only hours before the track s scheduled reopening.
Residents in the immediate area were told to leave their homes in case firefighters were unable to get flames under control, said BNSF Railway spokeswoman Courtney Wallace. First responders are on scene and operations have been suspended at this time. Out of an abundance of caution, immediate neighbors were evacuated, Wallace told The Bellingham Herald in an email.
Details were unavailable early Thursday, Dec. 24, but the emergency services app Pulse Point showed that firefighters and other Whatcom County emergency services were sent to Main Street and Portal Way in Custer at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
