I cannot think of a better person to be elected to Murrysville Council than my neighbor, Brad Funari.
Funari is the kind of neighbor everyone wishes they had. He is looking out for you even when you don’t realize it. Several years ago, I witnessed firsthand his financial aptitude, leadership and commitment to holding people in positions of trust accountable when he uncovered serious discrepancies in our neighborhood association’s finances. He sacrificed his time, educated the neighbors and facilitated a resolution for our benefit while holding those accountable for their wrongdoing. It is this type of financial astuteness, attention to detail and selflessness that will greatly benefit the residents of Murrysville.

“
The working class and the employing class have nothing in common. There can be no peace so long as hunger and want are found among millions of the working people and the few, who make up the employing class, have all the good things of life.”
There’s no doubt that the first line of the Preamble of the Industrial Workers of the World’s Constitution leaves an empowering feeling amongst working people and comrades. It’s a catchy slogan that has been used throughout leftist movements and organizations. The phrase not only serves as a constant reminder of the deep class divide but also serves as a reminder of what our movements are fighting both for and against.

A church in Dupont took part in Bells Across Pennsylvania Day on Sunday. Author: WNEP Web Staff Updated: 10:20 PM EDT May 2, 2021
DUPONT, Pa. Bells rang out in Luzerne County in honor of essential workers on Sunday.
The bells tolled at Holy Mother of Sorrows Church in Dupont as part of Bells Across Pennsylvania Day.
The bells rang for three minutes to recognize the hard work first responders, health care personnel, and grocery store workers have put in over the last year while the fight against COVID-19 continues.
Many other boroughs and cities across our area also took part in the hopes of showing that Pennsylvania will prevail over the pandemic.
