HOULTON, Maine The following cases were heard under the Aroostook Criminal Docket at the Houlton Courthouse in January. Joshua R. Lee, 32, Houlton: probation violation (two counts), 24 hours in jail, probation partially revoked (each).
Brooks Brewer, tampering with a witness, informant, juror or victim, no sentence imposed.
Stephanie R. Stamper, 38, Hodgdon: probation violation, 45 days in jail, probation partially revoked.
Randy A Phelps, 45, Island Falls: negotiating a worthless instrument, 10 hours in jail, $190.79 restitution.
Edwin A. Longley III, 64, Turner: misuse of the 911 system, 24 hours in jail.

Eastern Maine Development Corp. has named Peter Jamieson as Katahdin Region economic development director, replacing Michael Elliott, who stepped down in February.
Jamieson, who has been director of the Katahdin Chamber of Commerce for the past year and a half, will work on programs and development that catalyze economic growth in the eight towns that make up the EMDC s Katahdin Region, collaborating with local, state and federal partners.

The position comes under the EMDC, but is part of a multiyear partnership funded and supported by the Penobscot County Commissioners. The role is overseen by the Katahdin Region Development Board, which was created for that purpose.
