On Tuesday, April 27 Fort Saskatchewan reported 116 active cases of the coronavirus, down from 122 cases on Monday.
Sherwood Park reported 341 active cases, Strathcona County reported 74 active cases, and Sturgeon County reported 97 active cases.

St. John Paul II School has an outbreak of the virus, while James Mowat, Fort Saskatchewan Elementary, Southpointe School, and Win Ferguson Community School have all been classified as on alert, with 2 to 4 cases in the schools. As a result, SouthPointe School has suspended in-class learning for junior high students. In an email sent home to parents, the school cited rising COVID-19 cases as their reason for the suspension.
