The Citizen on Thursday that it seemed like “there was an effort to discredit the commission” as it slowly approaches its end in June.
“As we move closer to the end of the commission and the real possibility of some of the bigger names facing legal consequences… you have seen a pushback from Zuma for example.
“It would seem as though as there is an effort to discredit the Zondo commission as it also moves to uncover some of the issues relating to the bigger names. It was always about the bigger names…. it was always about Zuma and perhaps others as well,” he said.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) deputy president, Floyd Shivambu claims certain judges belong in the pockets of politicians. Shivambu was speaking outside the Hillbrow Police station after laying a criminal charge of corruption against Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordhan.

JOHANNESBURG - Jacob Zuma is facing a face-off with the Constitutional Court after Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng threw down the rule book at the former president to indicate what sentence should be imposed on him if found guilty of contempt of court.
Zuma has until Wednesday to reply to the directive issues by Mogoeng.
Eric Mabuza, the lawyer for Zuma, could not be reached for comment yesterday.
But Zumaâs supporters say they were not happy with the way the highest court in the land was dealing with the former president.
