Anna Wegh, of Deerfield, has been named to the president s list at James Madison University for the fall 2020 semester. Students who earn president s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Wegh is a dance major.

Justin Lew named to Baldwin Wallace University Dean s List
Justin Lew, of Deerfield, a graduate of Deerfield High School majoring in chemistry, has been named to the Dean s List for the fall 2020 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean s List.
Yasin Haffary Named to Hamilton College Fall 2020 Dean s List
Yasin Haffary, of Deerfield, has been named to the Dean s List at Hamilton College for the 2020 fall semester. To be named to the Dean s List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.

DEERFIELD, IL The main public school district in Deerfield, along with the shared high school district that includes Deerfield High School, are slated to receive more than $4.4 million in grants from the second coronavirus-relief package approved last month by federal lawmakers.
That $900 billion relief package included about $2.25 billion for Illinois public school districts, more than four times the amount they received from the first federal relief package, according to Carmen Ayala, the state s superintendent of education.
Deerfield School District 109 is slated to receive $209,537 in coronavirus relief funds. Township High School District 113, which includes Deerfield High School and is headquartered in Highland Park, is set to receive $438,966, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.
