Lee Ansell, 42, grabbed her by the throat, pinning her to a bed and beating her repeatedly at a time when she was 27 weeks pregnant with his child. The violence erupted in her bedroom after Ansell had been drinking alcohol, months after he attacked her in the garden of the home they shared. Chelmsford Crown Court heard the couple had been in an “on and off ” relationship since August 2019.
