KKR did suffer a hiccup during the chase when they lost three wickets in the first three overs after their bowlers kept things tight to restrict Punjab Kings to 123 -9.

But a 66-run fourth-wicket stand between Morgan and Rahul Tripathi off 48 balls sealed the issue for KKR. The skipper stayed there till the end remaining unbeaten on 47 (40b, 4x4, 2x6). Tripathi fell for 41.

AHMEDABAD (Gujarat): Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Prasidh Krishna has said the side had clearly made a plan for Punjab Kings batsman Shahrukh Khan ahead of their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 encounter.
Shahrukh is Punjab Kings fifth-highest run-scorer in the ongoing tournament and the batsman has clubbed runs on important occasion or when the side has suffered a collapse.
Prasidh was the pick of KKR bowlers as he dismissed Deepak Hooda, Shahrukh Khan and Chris Jordan. The right-handed pacer said KKR s plan was to be as disciplined as they can and bowl tight lengths against Punjab Kings batsmen.

Ahmedabad, April 26 : After losing four matches in a row, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finally pulled off a convincing victory as they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by five wickets in their IPL clash on the back of some disciplined bowling from their spinners, which helped restrict the Punjab franchise to 123/9 in 20 overs at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Monday.
