Woman Hospitalized After Pepperell House Fire

Updated on December 29, 2020 at 2:13 pm A woman was rescued by two police officers Monday night after a fire broke out inside a home in Pepperell, Massachusetts, according to officials. Police said officers Jared Carrubba and Dan Adams were the first to arrive at the home on Elliott Street at about 10:30 p.m. where a 76-year-old woman was trapped inside. Making their way inside the smoke-filled home, the officers were able to locate the woman trapped beneath debris and carry her outside, police said. Officers Carrubba and Adams made entry into a burning, smoke-filled home and risked their own lives to carry one of our residents to safety, Pepperell Chief David Scott said. Their efforts were certainly heroic and life-saving.

They will now move to their assigned shifts.
