ILOILO CITY – For its implementation of protocols against COVID-19, the coastal town of Concepcion is the first in Iloilo province to receive the Safety Seal from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“With this, we hope that everyone will learn from this and bring the lessons of complying to minimum health standard protocols against COVID-19 to their home and barangays,” said Mayor Raul Banias.
DILG’s Safety Seal is a certification program that affirms the compliance of institutions including local government units (LGUs) to the national government’s minimum public health standards.
“We spent resources to this program borne out of our collective belief that having this in place in the Municipal Hall will positively reinforce our continuous advocacy for change of people’s behaviors [during this time of pandemic],” added Banias.
