After three days of searching, Yamhill County Special Deputy Dean Danchuck, a helicopter pilot, located a missing elderly man in the forest approximately 7 miles north of Grand Ronde in remote Yamhill County Oregon.
Tuesday, around 3:45 p.m., Danchuck and his spotter, Rich Ashenbrenner helped save Sang Kwon Sa, a 73-year-old man from Washington State who had gone missing Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m. while collecting plants with family members off Wind River Road in Yamhill County. Search and Rescue teams from multiple agencies had been looking for him since his disappearance. A private helicopter, unmanned aerial drones, ground searchers, ATV units, search dogs around 100 volunteers from multiple surrounding counties were utilized in the search.

Warm Springs Man Killed In Hit and Run
Oregon State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run involving a Warm Springs man in Tillamook County. According to OSP, Quinten Hoptowit, 23, of Warm Springs was laying in the roadway when he was struck by a pickup. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident happened Saturday, April 17, 2021 at approximately 11:51 P.M., on Hwy 101 near mile post Z49. The vehicle described as a dark color crew cab pickup with a short box, open bed, and inoperative passenger side tail light – left the scene. OSP was assisted by Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office, Rockaway Beach Fire Department, Rockaway Beach Police Department and ODOT. TILLAMOOK COUNTY, Ore. The Tillamook County Sheriff s Office (TCSO) is asking for the public s help in identifying three people who allegedly stole a one-of-a-kind snowboard from the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
According to a Facebook post from the TCSO, the alleged theft took place on March 3, 2021. Three people walked into the retail area and stole a Tillamook Cheese branded snowboard off of a display. The board is a Deviation Outlier model with the Tillamook Cheese logo on it.
