AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defeated Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian on this past Wednesday’s
Dynamite. The challengers not only missed out on the titles, but last December, Daniels and Kazarian agreed the next time they lost as a tag team they would disband for good.
In the early stages of the match, Daniels was out on the floor and took a superkick from Nick Jackson, which sent him head-first into the corner of the ring post. Daniels began bleeding heavily near his eye, but was able to finish out the rest of the match.
Two days later, Daniels showed off his stitches and black eye that were the result of that spot. Today (four days later), Kazarian tweeted out a photo Daniels’ eye looking even worse as it has turned red with more bruising around it.
Ric Flair On If He Sees Daniel Bryan Staying With WWE
Ric Flair spoke on a special episode of the My World Podcast with Conrad Thompson about current affairs in WWE.
Flair spoke about Daniel Bryan’s contract recently expriging after his match against Roman Reigns on SmackDown a few weeks back where he was banned from SmackDown. It was recently reported that WWE was heavily trying to persuade Bryan to resign with the company. The 16x World Champion said he believes that Bryan will remain with WWE.
“He doesn’t have an option, he’s going to go home with Brie [Bella],” Flair said. “He’s one of the nicest kids I’ve ever met in the business and he wouldn’t leave the WWE. I would have a very difficult time believing he would leave the WWE, if he does, I’d be very surprised. That whole family, everybody’s tied to the WWE.

During the first episode of My World with Jeff Jarrett, the founder of TNA Wrestling spoke about his departure from WWE and last match at No Mercy 1999 against Chyna for the Intercontinental Title. Jarrett appeared on that show without a contract and was set to appear on WCW’s Monday Nitro the following day. Going into the show, Jarrett detailed how there had been some issues over pay between him and Jim Ross, who was the Head of Talent Relations at the time, which was the main reason he left the company.
Jarrett spoke about the rumors of his final day in WWE involving him “holding up Vince McMahon and the WWE for more money”, saying those were absolutely false and detailed what really happened that day. He also discussed why he asked for WWE to take money from the arena’s account rather than WWE’s account, saying the company could have canceled the payment the next day and he’d be left with nothing.
