Tribal affairs department initiates ambitious plan for modernisation of its hostels in J&K SRINAGAR: With an aim to provide the best available facilities and a competitive platform to students, the J&K Tribal Affairs Department (TAD) has initiated the process for time-bound modernisation of its residential hostels in all districts concerned. The plan comprises and envisages infrastructure upgradation, technological interventions, management revamp and decentralised functioning. Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, and Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth J&K, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, laid out the roadmap for the ambitious hostel modernisation plan which sets strict timelines for modernisation of all hostels managed by TAD. The plan was finalised in a meeting of senior officers including among others Director Tribal Affairs Musheer Ahmed and Secretary Advisory Board Mukhtar Choudhary.

No rules to utilize funds kept at disposal of Principals Mohinder Verma JAMMU, Apr 11: A Fact Finding Committee has detected engagement of hundreds of need-based workers mainly on the recommendations of the politicians in the Government Polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Jammu and Kashmir during the period between 2010 and 2018 and made suggestions to the Government for necessary action. Official sources told EXCELSIOR that in early 2019 a number of complaints came to the notice of the then Governor of erstwhile State regarding fraudulent and illegal appointments made during the period between 2010 and 2018 in different departments particularly Technical Education and Autonomous Bodies, Corporations and Organizations under its administrative control.

Govt Orders Minor Reshuffle In Administration SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday ordered transfers and postings in the administration. According to Government Order No.325–JK(GAD) of 2021,  Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS (JK:2009), Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth, holding additional charge of Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, is transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department. He shall also hold the charge of Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth and Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, in addition to his own duties, till further orders. Rehana Batul, KAS, Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, is transferred and posted as Commissioner, Survey and Land Records, J&K, against an available vacancy. She shall also hold the additional charge of Secretary in the Revenue Department to work under Principal Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department.
