Alaska connected: major broadband projects completed
19 February 2021 | Capacity Team Quintillion and GCI extended their coastal network in Alaska to two small towns, while Alaska Communications has also extended services to 3,700 remote locations.

, with a total population of 7,100 people, are to get gigabit fibre broadband after Quintillion expanded its coastal network.
Quintillion worked with the Liberty Broadband-owned GCI, Alaska’s largest local telco, to expand its fibre network to Nome, population 3,850, and Kotzebue, population 3,287.

The business systems analyst partners with business stakeholders to serve as a primary contact for questions related to how the system works from both a business and technical perspective. The BSA translates business requirements into technical specifications and partners with the capability team members to develop logical technical processes. BSA can act as proxy product owner and is capable of representing priority and business needs in absence of the product owner. In this particular assignment, the BSA will be a member of the Customer 360 Capability Team focused on the initiative known as Customer 360 .

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County School District says they have been awarded an Education Innovation & Research grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
For the first time, the U.S. Department of Education says they sought projects centered on teacher choice in professional learning.
CCSD says it is five-year grant worth $12 million and its purpose is to “generate and validate solutions to persistent educational challenges.”
The grants encourage entrepreneurial, evidence-based, field-initiated ideas which the district says are intended to improve student achievement and rigorously evaluate these innovations.
