Cruise giant Carnival to extend cancellations into April

It now will be at least April before you can get on a Carnival Cruise Line ship.
The Miami-based cruise giant on Wednesday said it would extend its 10-month-long halt to cruise operations through at least March 31 for all vessels.
In addition, the 24-ship line canceled sailings on its Galveston, Texas-based Carnival Freedom through April 10 and the West Coast-based Carnival Miracle through Sept. 16.

Carnival Cruise Line is canceling all U.S. sailings through the end of March, as well as select cruises throughout the year.
The South Florida-based company announced the cancellations Wednesday As we continue to evaluate the operating environment and public health challenges facing the country, we also continue to evaluate our fleet deployment plans and scheduling options related to the gradual and phased in approach we will be taking as we return to guest operations in 2021,” the company said in a statement.

Carnival Cruise Line Extends Pause to April

Carnival Cruise Line on Tuesday announced that it was notifying all of its guests that it would be extending its pause in all U.S. operations through at least March 31, 2021 as the line continues to navigate its way through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Carnival said on Tuesday that all of its guest and advisor partners had been notified of the cancellations and offered either a full refund or a “generous future cruise credit and onboard credit package.”
The cancellations, outside of the U.S. pause through March, include Carnival Freedom sailing out of Galveston through April 10, 2021; Carnival Miracle sailings out of San Diego and San Francisco through Sept. 16, 2021; Carnival Liberty sailings out of Port Canaveral from Sept. 17 to Oct. 18, which was done to accommodate a rescheduled dry dock; Carnival Sunshine sailings out of Charleston from Oct. 11 through Nov. 13, also to accommodate a rescheduled

HOUSTON – Carnival has canceled all cruises from U.S. ports through April 30, 2021, the cruise line said.
The cruise line said travelers should look for an email or check with their travel agent for more details.
“As we confer with industry partners and regulators on the protocols and procedures that will guide our operations when we resume sailing, we will continue to make information available (here),” the post reads. “Thank you for your continued understanding and support.”
Carnival has repeatedly pushed back sail dates locally and across the U.S. as the COVID-19 pandemic has continued.
